Confidance History & Philosophy
Debbie Terry, owner of Confidance, started her dance studio in January of 1977 in Spanish Fork Utah. From a small beginning teaching dance to 42 students, Debbie went on to build large studios in Springville, Spanish Fork and Payson and also held classes in Santiquin and Nephi. By the time Debbie moved to Cedar City in 1989, she had a clear philosophy about what a dance studio should be. “The important thing is how the dancer feels about herself. Dance skills are important, and constant improvement is necessary and rewarding, yet the true purpose of our studio is building each dancers self esteem and confidence”. That positive perspective empowers everything our dancers learn and do and sets us apart from any other dance studio. Our commitment to high quality dance instruction, modest costumes, positive music and appropriate choreography, infuses each dancer with the ability to achieve more than she ever has before.
